BTP and National Express Eat Anglia launch 'Making Travel Safer Team’ (02/05/08)

BTP has teamed up with National Express East Anglia to launch a 'Making Travel Safer Team' in Colchester, Essex.
The BTP and National Express East Anglia team has been formed to patrol the stretch of line from Colchester to Clacton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze.
The team comprises a full-time Police Sergeant, security officers and revenue protection inspectors who will work together to reassure passengers and to help curb antisocial behaviour, fare evasion and vandalism.
The sort of antisocial behaviour that will not be tolerated includes the abuse of National Express East Anglia staff or customers, fare evasion, smoking, drunkenness, loitering at stations or car parks, swearing, shouting or playing loud music.
