Welcome to the British Transport Police Teaching Zone

British Transport Police in the North West and North East is committed to educating local communities especially young people about the railways, safety issues and the consequences of railway crime. Through our Neighbourhood Policing initiative we want to encourage local people to tell us about their concerns and priorities for policing the railways.

We are one of the partners in the Track Off campaign to combat inappropriate behaviour on the railway network.

You can find FREE downloadable resources from British Transport Police and the main Teaching Zone. These include lesson plans, factsheets, posters, videos and classroom activities as well as media files that can be downloaded for use by pupils or with school white boards.
