The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) operates in south and east London providing frequent and reliable train serves to local residents, businesses, commuters and tourists.
Serving Canary Wharf with it's wealth of financial and investment businesses as well as over 200 shops and restaurants, London City Airport who operate to over 32 destinations with 11 airlines, ExCel London the international exhibition and conference centre as well as local communities including Lewisham, the Isle of Dogs and Woolwich (from Feb.2009).
Originally opened in 1987 with just 11 trains, DLR now carries more than 66 million passengers a year with 100 trains (149 by Summer 2009) and 40 stations.
