Drax Power Station provides students of all ages with an introduction to the electricity generating business and its impact on our environment.

Our visitor centre and tour help to develop an understanding of the electricity business – the life blood of today’s modern society.

The Skylark Nature Reserve and Centre is at the heart of the Barlow Mound ash disposal scheme where an established nature reserve is a haven for over 100 species of wildlife.

School visitors can use the Skylark Centre’s classroom and laboratory facilities to discuss and investigate the many aspects of nature seen on the tour.

You can go on a trail outside the station fence that introduces pupils to the power station and surrounding nature features.
