As an athlete I know how important it is to look after yourself from head to toe. Being a runner I had to make sure I took good care of my feet as they were under constant pressure. Having the right running shoe in the right size was integral to my preparations for training and competition. It is fantastic that Two Feet are offering professional fitting services for children in schools and raising money for the future of British sport through SportsAid.”

‘’As someone who has suffered from foot health problems when younger I completely endorse Twofeet’s initiative of offering free foot measuring and fitting surgeries at schools. In my opinion, schools should approach the whole idea of a uniform approach but this should start from the feet upwards. There are no long term affects on children by having their trousers too short or their jackets too long but there certainly are in wearing inappropriate shoes for your feet.’’

‘I am always surprised by the lack of knowledge the average person has about how important it is to have healthy feet and the consequent damage that unhealthy feet can do to a person’s long term health! The concept of a company centred on ensuring that children have healthy feet and promoting them to children and parents in schools is therefore incredibly exciting
to me.
I have no doubt that the convenience of the service will be extremely popular with parents and I am particularly impressed that Two feet will be providing free information on the Teaching Zone website for schools to use as part of their curriculum. Were you given enough information about twofeet prior to the fitting session? Yes, we were given a leaflet explaining how it worked and with examples of the shoes. Do you have any suggestions as to how Twofeet can improve their service? NO I was very impressed with the service and am so pleased someone has come up with such a brilliant idea for busy mums with 3 children to buy shoes for. In turn the school also receives a donation for every pair of school shoes sold which will have long term benefits for the children. |
