Educate to Innovate |

In March 2009 Huddersfield Town launched a partnership with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a fundraising campaign was born. ‘Keep It Up’ is an innovative fundraising campaign where 50p out of every £1 raised goes to the Huddersfield Town Academy and 50p goes to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The campaign was backed by Huddersfield Town’s home shirt featuring the Yorkshire Air Ambulance logo on the chest for the 2009/10 season.
As well as a large number of fundraising events taking place there is also a recycling campaign. Bag It Up are Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s recycling partner and they have kindly jumped on board to back the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign. All of the yellow textile recycling banks that are located in HD postcodes have been donated to Keep It Up, so all the money raised from these goes to the campaign.
The recycling scheme has recently been branched out to local junior schools; to not only encourage young supporters to recycle but also to raise as much money as possible for ‘Keep It Up’. Those schools that agree to hold a recycling assembly- featuring Andy Booth- are given yellow bags for the children to take home and fill with unwanted clothes, shoes and household textiles.
