Welcome to the Kielder TeachingZone. The Kielder Salmon Centre has raised over 10 million young salmon over the last 30 years.

We are committed to help in the education of young people about the importance of the environment, it is a great opportunity to learn about freshwater ecosystems and the extraordinary lifecycles of species like salmon and freshwater pearl mussels.

From the Kielder TeachingZone you can access a variety of FREE downloadable information and classroom activities about the environment.

The Environment Agency-run hatchery in Kielder Water & Forest Park, Northumerland is open to the public and student groups free of charge seven days a week.
