Welcome to the Nexus Teaching Zone

Nexus – The Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive - is committed to educating young people about public transport and safety issues.

You can find FREE downloadable factsheets about Nexus and Metro as well as images of Metro trains and stations and NE operator buses. There are also FREE downloadable class activities about Metro and bus travel.

We are one of the partners in the Track Off campaign to combat inappropriate behaviour on light and heavy railway networks.

The Teaching Zone also contains access to FREE educational resources about railway crime including lesson plans, factsheets, posters, videos and classroom activities as well as media files that can be downloaded for use by pupils or with school whiteboards.
